How To Judge The Quality Of Oil Press Bearings?

As the main component of the oil press machines, the performance and quality of bearings during operation will directly affect the normal operation performance of the oil press. It is inevitable that abnormal conditions will occur during bearing operation. Common abnormal conditions include noise, abnormal temperature rise, large vibration (shaft beating), excessive lubricant leakage, discoloration, etc.
If the bearing is in good continuous rotation, it will make a low whine or buzzing sound. If there is a sharp hiss, squeak or other irregular sound, it is likely to indicate that the bearing is in a poor continuous rotation condition. A high-pitched squeaking noise may be caused by improper lubrication. Improper bearing clearance can also cause metal noise.
There are three main types of abnormal noise caused by common bearing operation, namely: large metal noise, regular noise and irregular noise.
01 Loud metal noise
The main causes of loud metal noise from bearings include abnormal load, poor installation, insufficient lubricant, and unsuitability.
Countermeasures for abnormal bearing loads: correct the fit, study the bearing clearance, adjust the preload, and correct the position of the housing shoulder.
Countermeasures against poor bearing installation: improve the machining accuracy of the shaft and bearing seat, and improve the installation accuracy and installation method.
Countermeasures for insufficient bearing lubricant: replenish lubricant and choose appropriate lubricant.
02 regular noise
Sometimes the bearing will make a "blah-blah" sound during operation, which is intermittent and occurs regularly. This is a regular noise. The main reasons for the regular noise of the bearing are: due to foreign matter on the rolling surface Indentations, rust, scars, surface deformation (after carburization of steel) and raceway surface fractures.
Countermeasures for bearings with indentations, rust, and scratches on the rolling surface caused by foreign matter: replace the bearings, clean related parts, improve the sealing device, and use clean lubricant.
Countermeasures against surface deformation of bearings (after carburizing steel): Replace the bearings and pay attention to their use.
Countermeasures for bearing raceway surface fractures: Replace the bearing.
03 Irregular noise
If a "squeaking" sound occurs during the operation of the bearing and does not change with the change of rotation speed, this situation is an irregular noise, which is more common in small bearings. The main causes of this situation are: foreign body intrusion and ball damage and breakage.
Countermeasures against foreign matter intrusion in bearings: study replacement of bearings, cleaning related parts, improving sealing devices, and using clean lubricants.
Countermeasures for damaged or broken bearing balls: Replace the bearings.
Therefore, before using the oil pressers, we must refuel the refueling points of each bearing on time and in the right amount according to the instructions, thereby extending the life of the bearings and reducing unnecessary downtime of the oil press.
